I was in a gym and walked past a room and notice a woman who looks like a former girlfriend. I worked out and as I was walking around we spoted each other. It was her, she said Darrell, I said Janet, we huged each other. We decided to spa together. The spa was very unusual. It was very very deep. There were steps that extended from the top of the spa, water covered that extended down to the depths into the deep water. We were sitting on the steps submerged only our heads we above water. Janet suddenly slipped into the depths of the water, and was completely submerged underwater for about two minutes. I became alarmed, submerged myself and pulled her out of the spa. She was not conscious. I picked her up and carried her as fast as possible to find help. The gym suddenly became a hospital. I was directed into a room that had an ice filled stainless steel bathtub. I placed her in the ice filled bathtub where she died. I started crying and woke up. I was sleep paralyzed momentarily, and woke up crying.
This dream seems to depict unresolved emotions and unresolved issues from your past relationship with Janet. The gym may symbolize the physical aspects of the relationship or personal growth. Walking past the room and spotting Janet suggests that she still holds a presence in your life, even if only in your subconscious.
The spa in the dream represents a place of relaxation and rejuvenation, perhaps signifying a desire to reconnect with Janet on a deeper level. The deep water and submerged heads could symbolize diving into unresolved emotions or the depth of your connection with Janet. However, Janet slipping into the depths and being submerged underwater might represent a fear of losing her or losing the chance to reconcile. Your reaction of rescuing her and carrying her to find help shows your continued care and concern for her well-being.
The transformation of the gym into a hospital can symbolize a need for emotional healing or closure in your relationship. Placing Janet in the ice-filled bathtub where she dies may signify that this relationship may no longer be viable or that it represents the end of a certain phase. Your emotional response of crying indicates grief and the intensity of your emotions surrounding this relationship.
The sleep paralysis and waking up crying could stem from a combination of the intense emotional content of the dream and the physiological response of the body during the transition from sleep to wakefulness.
Overall, this dream suggests that there may be unresolved emotions and unfinished business from your past relationship with Janet. It may be beneficial to reflect on these feelings and consider if there is any need for closure or further exploration of these emotions in your waking life.
